Stephanie Uhlich is Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of LNG Canada, a project of national significance and one of Canada’s most consequential energy infrastructure investments. She brings 28 years of legal experience, including 22 years with Shell Canada, spanning major projects, commercial, regulatory and corporate matters.

Stephanie leads LNG Canada’s legal function, serves on the Leadership Team and is a strategic adviser to the Executive Committee on the legal, regulatory, commercial and governance issues central to the project’s development, construction and operation. She and her Legal team have played an integral role in advancing the work underpinning two major investment decisions, from LNG Canada’s original final investment decision in 2018 through the recently announced Phase 2 expansion final investment decision.

Her accountabilities span venture governance, complex commercial arrangements, regulatory and environmental matters, compliance, labour and employment, Indigenous and stakeholder matters, and dispute resolution.

Stephanie has built a high-performing legal team and is committed to developing legal talent, while fostering a pragmatic, commercially focused approach that positions Legal as a strategic partner in enabling investment and navigating complex risk.
