Mark Paslawski is Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer of WestJet, where he leads the legal function and advises executive leadership on legal strategy, governance, financing, regulatory matters and complex commercial transactions.

Mark began his legal career in 1999 at Bennett Jones in Calgary, practising corporate and securities law with a focus on public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and commercial matters. He subsequently spent 14 years with Calfrac Well Services, serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary before moving into the business as Vice President, Corporate Development, where he led Calfrac’s business and corporate development activities.

Mark joined WestJet in 2021 as Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary and progressed through increasingly senior legal roles before assuming his current role as Chief Legal Officer in September 2026. His role at WestJet combines legal leadership with strategic advice on significant transactions and other complex commercial, regulatory and governance matters.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, with distinction, from the University of Saskatchewan.
