Maria Preovolos is VP, TELUS Legal and Regulatory Affairs with responsibility for the TELUS Health and TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods portfolios. In this role, she oversees commercial affairs, regulatory compliance, and M&A integration strategies across both business units.

Maria began her career as a securities lawyer at a leading Vancouver firm before joining TELUS’s Corporate Secretary team, later transitioning to advise on major enterprise business transactions.

An active advocate for mentorship and inclusion, Maria is a supporter of, and frequent speaker, at Connections, TELUS’s women’s resource group which champions workplace gender parity and diversity. She is also a passionate champion of TELUS’s Give Where We Live philosophy, regularly coordinating volunteer initiatives for the Vancouver legal team with local non-profits, including A Loving Spoonful and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Beyond TELUS, she served six years on the Board of Governors for the Justice Institute of British Columbia. As Board Chair, she successfully led the national executive search that appointed the institute’s current President.
